About
Welcome. I am a psychoanalyst and licensed psychologist with more than 30 years of experience helping people deepen their understanding of themselves and improve their lives. My approach is warm, reflective, and grounded in curiosity about the mind – how it grows and how it can change. More specifically, I work from the perspective that our ways of experiencing ourselves and others are shaped by early patterns of relating and formative experiences. Those internal versions we carry inside are often outside of our awareness. They profoundly influence how we show up in the world, how we behave, how we manage stress, and cope with everyday experiences. In the therapeutic process, we can begin to understand and modify these patterns as they unfold between us. This kind of exploration opens the possibility of change, feeling more alive and connected, with a greater capacity to manage the broad spectrum of emotions.
I see psychoanalytic work as a process of growing one’s mind – of developing greater freedom, confidence, and richer relationships, as well as a stronger sense of meaning and purpose. In my work, I aim to offer a space where thoughts and feelings can be spoken and reflected upon in the here-and-now context with curiosity, empathy and respect.
I work with adults and adolescents. Sessions are available both in person and virtually. I am out of network with insurance but will facilitate out of network reimbursement.

In late April, 2026 I plan to relocate my practice to Bellingham, WA
I have been a licensed psychologist for 25 years. I graduated as a psychoanalyst from the Seattle Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (SPSI) in 2023. Before becoming a psychologist, I trained and worked as a registered nurse. That experience continues to inform my sensitivity to both the physical and the emotional aspects of human experience.
Over the years I have practice in a wide range of settings including private practice for over two decades. Early on my my career I worked in palliative care, medical hospital consultation, PTSD research, and outpatient mental health clinics. I have facilitated support groups for patients with life-threatening and chronic illness. These experiences deepened my understanding of resilience, loss, and the way we seek meaning in the face of difficult circumstances.
I have a particular interest in working with clinicians and others who are drawn to a deeper analytic process. I am available for individual and group supervision and consultation both in person and on line.

Background & Experience
Teaching & Involvement
In addition to my clinical practice, I have taught and supervised primary care and psychiatric residents, and I currently teach at two psychoanalytic institutes including NPSI and SPSI in Seattle. Teaching and supervising are meaningful aspects of my professional life, offering opportunities to think deeply about psychoanalytic work with others who are similarly engaged.
